Michele Bachmann addressed state lawmakers in 2006 on bullying in public schools:
[T]here have always been bullies, always have been, always will be. I just don't know how we're ever going to get to point of zero tolerance and what does it mean? … Will it get to the point where we are completely stifling free speech and expression? Will it mean that what form of behavior will there be – will we be expecting boys to be girls?
Wink, wink. She also echoes her husband's view that children are little barbarians. But if they are gay barbarians they are to be sent to be cured; if they are straight barbarians bullying gay kids, they are to be left alone. Coincidentally, Mother Jones has a new report on the "teen suicide epidemic" in Bachmann's district. Many were gay.
