Huxley And Eliot

Many readers are confused by a colon, which is now a period in this post. What a difference a punctuation mark can make.

I was not claiming that Huxley wrote the Four Quartets, for goodness' sake! Those poems have been in my soul for much of my life – I dramatized them at Harvard and combined them with a live performance of Messiaen's Quartet For the End Of Time. And when I think of Huxley's notion that the Universe is All Right, I am always drawn to Julian of Norwich's mystic prayer, and thereafter Eliot's adoption of it. A little bit of poetic free association. If you can't do that in a post on shrooms, when can you?
