Clark kent media critic

In the world of comics, Clark Kent has become a media critic and will dramatically quit the The Daily Planet to become a blogger. Lucas Siegel has details:

Clark will take a stand against the media's move towards being more entertainment and less news. He even makes a comment about "Truth, Justice, and the American Way" being the goal that media, and people in general, should strive towards. Entertainment reporter and longtime Daily Planet mainstay Cat Grant will be quitting alongside Clark, completing his Jerry Maguire moment, and joining up with him to create "the next Huffington Post or the next Drudge Report," said [Superman writer Scott] Lobdell.

Prachi Gupta adds:

The change in Kent’s character reflects [Lobdell’s] goal of making Superman more relevant in the 21st century (part of a grander push from DC’s "New 52" relaunch of several comics). A DC representative said, "This is not the first time in DC Comics history that Clark Kent has left the Planet, and this time the resignation reflects present-day issues – the balance of journalism vs. entertainment, the role of new media, the rise of the citizen journalist, etc."
