But great jazz singers are rare and one of DC’s treasures is singing this week at the Metropolitan Room in NYC. She somehow turns songs from the 1960s and 1970s into jazz lushness. I heard her in Provincetown this summer and was wowed. Full disclosure: the dude playing piano is my closest friend. And he’s amazing at what he does as well. Details here.
