My concern, Liz, was less about what a president could do, than it was about the simple fact the base of a major political party believes in this stuff. The simple fact that so many of these people don’t believe in science, and they’re the ones with whom a Republican candidate for president first has to pass muster, should really be disturbing.
And on a side note, the power to appoint Supreme Court justices to hear future church/state cases is a cause for worry, though certainly towards the bottom of the list of reasons to be anxious about the modern GOP.
