Gallup’s latest survey cannot be encouraging the Republican leadership. This graph says a lot:
Candidates matter; and there’s a long time before the next election, but … yikes. The Dems even have a clear 47 – 42 lead on terrorism and security issue. In September 2002, the GOP led 50 – 31. Full results here.
