Cranky Rush
"If our nominee is either not conservative and is pandering to the left trying to get some of their votes, or if our nominee is so afraid of his record that he’s relying on identity politics to get votes or if our nominee decides that the only way he can win is to go out and pick off some libs in the northeast and out in the west, it’s going to be a bloodbath," – Rush Limbaugh, bemoaning Giuliani, Huckabee and McCain.

It appears to be believed by some Clinton supporters.
She’s Never Wrong, Is She?
The real story is the cynical and egotistic response to a rare but clear blunder. Handler Howard Wolfson immediately rephrased Clinton’s two statements as referring to a political party rather than the "President Musharraf" she spoke of four days after the Bhutto news blitz (if only Mike Huckabee had had that time to catch the NIE). The mind trick captures the instinctive bunker mentality that would pervade a Hillary Clinton administration. She chould probably just say she misspoke, and put an end to a story that – if the MSM is working hard enough – should have legs for more than a few days. But she won’t. She can’t. It’s not in her blood.
If you think Bush admits mistakes too easily, vote Clinton.
Clinton’s Gender
It’s more in the message than the messenger:
You know me, I’m tough, and I work more than I talk. For all the discussion about how she draws support from women simply by virtue of being a woman, it’s really this message that is perhaps the most gendered thing about her approach.
