The Ambinder shortlists. Pawlenty makes a lot of sense for McCain. Obama could well pick a woman: McCaskill, Napolitano, Feinstein, Harman? But why doesn’t Obama approach Powell? And ask Gates to stay on? Then put Senator Clinton on SCOTUS.
