A few days ago I wrote that Judge Judy aka Judith Sheindlin had signed off on relaxing marijuana laws. A reader points me to a fuller transcript:
KING: There are many, many, many people who think we are at the point now we ought to legalize this. What do you think?
SHEINDLIN: About legalizing marijuana?
KING: Yes.
SHEINDLIN: I don’t like to dumb down America. That’s what I think.
I watched it and sensed real unwillingness to parrot prohibitionist rhetoric. Maybe I was a little too optimistic.
