Are These The First Signs Of A Civil War?

The coup is not without its supporters; and the resistance is also, in its fringes, using violence. An Iranian-American urges skepticism, and criticizes this blog's coverage:

Many things happen but it’s interesting what is reported and what isn’t. The videos he chooses to feature are kinda like if I took a gay, African American into KKK country. Is that really representative of the US? Yea, it’s bad, horrible in fact, and yea it should be stopped but it’s not what one would feature in a blog about the US. So it’s the same way. While I in no way agree with what is being done, keep in mind that the liberal supporters threw bricks and stones at cops and the cops didn’t do anything. It was only yesterday in a small area (out of a protest that spanned 5 miles and had hundreds of thousands of people in it) that things got bad.

The 8 people that woman talks about did not die in protests. They are people that stormed police headquarters, took guns and weapons, and then engaged in a shoot out with cops who tried to stop them as they invaded another building. The first time around, the cops didn’t even fire blanks at them or attack them, though they were taking weapons. Also, many of those who have been injured have been injured because the liberal supporters stopped trucks carrying stones and building material to a nearby home site, ordered them to drop it off there, and then threw them at the police; not all of them actually got to the police but ended up landing on people’s heads, arms, and shoulders. There are also many pictures circulating on the other side of cops and police who have been seriously harmed, burned buildings and banks, and thousands of destroyed cars. If you have a picture of Ahmadinejad on your car window, all of the windows get shattered and broken. And I know this from 2 people, one who saw it happen over and over again and another who had it happen to his car, which is now totaled from the amount of times it was jumped on and hit with metal pipes. So it’s a lot of craziness and lawlessness on both sides. But there are videos online in which people right out chant death slogans to both the president and religious head and then go home safely and nothing has happened. I dare say, when we went to protests for Iraq, we were told right out not to say “down” or “Death” to anything."
