Staying Sharp

This NYT piece has gone whizzing round the tubes. It has an appealingly counter-intuitive appeal: the older you get, the more wisdom you acquire, but that wisdom is only accessible if the brain is constantly challenged outside its comfort zone. The brain, to get the benefit of age, needs to capture some of the adventurism of youth.
