The Met has a new exhibition, Rooms with a View: The Open Window in the 19th Century, which echoes the Dish's fascination with the world from the inside out. The above is Léon Cogniet's "The Artist in His Room at the Villa Medici, Rome," from 1817. More details here. It's on till July 4.
