The classic Palin touch: turning a liability into a symbol. McGinniss feels a lurch in his stomach:
Seeing the gleeful embrace that MSM is giving Sarah as she returns from self-imposed, post-Tucson exile, I don’t quite despair, but I worry.
I worry too. What worries me is not the likelihood that Palin could win the presidency in 2012 on current trends. That's highly unlikely (although the nomination is another thing entirely). What worries me is that we may not always be on current trends. If the GOP pushes the debt ceiling far enough to precipitate global financial panic, and another recession takes hold, and a war or a terror strike arrive, all bets are off. I just don't want anyone that dangerous, unscrupulous and delusional anywhere near power. In private life? Whatever. In the media? It's a free country?
With actual power? Get me out of here.
