How Much Does Experience Matter?

Will Wilkinson believes that Bachmann's inexperience will be her undoing:

 I just don't believe that the tea-party movement has displaced the party of Bob Dole to such an extent that lifelong Republican stalwarts will alight from their Lincolns and Buicks, shuffle into the nation's middle-school gymnasia, and decide to take a flyer on St Cloud's greenhorn congresswoman. 

Daniel Larison counters that Wilkinson is "still underestimating how well Bachmann will do in early caucus and primary contests," but agrees Bachman is unlikely to win. Steve Kornacki isn't so sure.
