Remember when Palin said she was quitting her bus tour because of jury duty? Is there any update to that? I can't imagine that Sarah Palin would have shown up to jury duty without the press ever finding out about it.
It's been nearly a month since she ditched the bus. Craig Medred looked at the legal procedures in her state:
Alaskans called to serve in a jury pool don't get specific days of service they can plan around. In the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, they are expected to be on call for a month. Those in the pool are told to call in daily to check if they will be needed the next day. A recording tells them whether to report to the courthouse.
Yet despite her apparent need to be on call for a day's notice, Palin attended her movie premiere in Pella, Iowa less than a week after calling off the bus tour.
