Twitter Trouble

A reader writes:

@dailydish has been missing for days, and no mention on the blog? When will this be back? Twitter has become my go-to means to keep up with the Dish, and it's amazing how cumbersome going to and randomly refreshing your website has become.  #1stWorldProblems

We're well aware of the problem and have been in contact with Twitter customer service, which has been very slow and, quite frankly, almost impossible to deal with. (Props to the Beast's Brian Ries for being our pointman on this.)

The Dish is in the process of launching two new Twitter accounts – an auto-feed of every post and a curated feed of Sully-centric posts – to replace the current @dailydish account, which was actually launched by a reader without our knowledge. We are very grateful to the unknown fan, but we need to shut down that account for copyright concerns and redirect Dish followers to a newer, sleeker account that we actually have access to. In the process of trying to doing so, Twitter bungled our requests and @dailydish was accidentally suspended without the redirection. We are hoping to get this resolved very soon.
