D’Souza’s Christianist Crusade, Ctd

A reader writes:

My daughter is a senior at King's. Not really where we wanted her, but we understood her passion for the difficulty of the program and I'm now convinced she's getting a top-drawer education. We were concerned that it was going to be, as the student in Marantz's report says, "a right-wing breeding ground." Her professors are mostly liberal Christians, her fellow are students very open, but the administration, she reports to me today via IM, are following the money. The donors are conservative, and D'Souza's reign has given them a higher profile.

Regarding the GOD MONEY POWER message on the wall, when I visited her in NYC last May, she was very embarrassed by that and assured me everyone at the school hated it. She and other soon-to-be graduates are rightly concerned that D'Souza's alignment with the far right has damaged the school's reputation and their potential job prospects. I suggested that perhaps the faculty and students could demand a change in administration; a sort of "revolution," I teased her. Her reply: "better be sooner than later."
