When the undecideds are prodded, Obama's rating is – 12; Boehner's is – 22. Among Independents, Obama has a 35 – 30 edge over Boehner. Boehner's underlying problem? A chunk of his own party is against him. The Dems are far more likely to back Obama, even when they don't like the result.
This complicates matters a little for Peggy Noonan, whose judgment just took an even deeper swallow dive today.
