I can understand the need for some gay Republicans to hang in there even as their own party champions the most homophobic agenda of any other major party in the West. What I d0nt understand is their ability to support and cheer on Ann Coulter, a transparent performance artist for the furthest right you can imagine. Coulter opposes the repeal of DADT, opposes marriage equality, backs “curing” gays, as Bachmann does, and wants gay people to go back into the closet. This person is one of GOProud’s most significant allies. When Log Cabin had the gall to point this out, this was GOProud’s response:

If GOProud wants to rebut the facts in LCR’s blog, they’re welcome to. If they can get a statement from Coulter saying she backs repealing DADT, opposes reparative therapy for gays, and supports marriage equality, then they’ll have a case that this was a smear, rather than a legitimate criticism.
