"'Young men who voted for either McCain or Barr suffered immediate drops in their testosterone levels after the election results were announced.' So, Dem wins create more Dems, huh? Vicious cycle," –

“As a veteran, I believe that any veteran lending their name, to promote the leftist propaganda of global warming and climate change, in an effort to control more of the wealth created in our economy, through cap and tax type policies, all in the name of national security, is a traitor to the oath he or she took to defend the Constitution of our great nation! Remember Benedict Arnold before giving credibility to a veteran who uses their service as a means to promote a leftist agenda. Drill Baby Drill!!!" – Pennsylvania Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R).
These people are raving loons.

“We call them progressives now, but back in Samuel Adams’ day, they used to call them tyrants. A little later, I think they were also called slave owners," – Glenn Beck.
I told you it would get worse before it got better.

“What has kept me relatively sane in the matter is that I try to focus the conversation on things we can agree on. I talk about the need for separation of church and state, the importance of teaching kids to question their beliefs and seek out their own answers (Christians, of course, think this will lead them toward faith), the lack of politicians who represent our constituency, why we need to keep forced religion out of public schools, the myriad cases of discrimination against atheists, etc. I talk about the need for them to take those ideas back to their churches and pastors. They have a hard time saying no to those ideas above. So that’s where I keep my focus. It’s more important to me that Christians get on board with those ideas than whether they believe in a god or not.” – Hemant Mehta, Friendly Atheist.

"Catholics were once the mainstay of the Democratic Party; now the gay activists are in charge…The culture war is up for grabs. The good news is that religious conservatives continue to breed like rabbits, while secular saboteurs have shut down: they're too busy walking their dogs, going to bathhouses and aborting their kids," – Bill Donohue, On Faith, Washington Post.
(Hat tip: Instaputz). That this column – pure fact-free fulmination, jammed with grotesque generalizations, and no actual arguments – ran in the Washington Post tells you that they are either desperate or just beyond caring what appears under their auspices. Did Jon Meacham and Sally Quinn actually sign off on this as a serious piece of commentary? Their faces are grinning at the top of it.

"So, we have a self-professed admirer of Mao Tse-Tung in a top job at the White House. Where does it end? Where?" – Roger Kimball.
Where indeed?
A Moore Award Near-Miss
A reader writes:
I sometimes disagree with your Moore Award nominations, and I like Dan Savage, but this bit that you posted:
American opponents of reproductive freedom—people who seek to ban abortion—are trying to kill American women. The end.Seems to merit a nomination. I believe that pro-lifers are wrong (especially amongst those who oppose contraception distribution or promote abstinence-only education), but they're not trying to kill American women.
Agreed. And now Dan will kill me.

"What we’re really getting here is we’re not just getting single-payer care. We’re getting full on Russian gulag, Soviet-style gulag health care," – Congressman John Shadegg (R-AZ), on healthcare reform.
