Actually, of course, this phenomenon has been widely reported in all sorts of settings, including among supporters of football teams that lose. The flipside is always that the supporters of the winning team get temporary testosterone boosts. I covered all this way back when in my essay "The He Hormone".

That this column – pure fact-free fulmination, jammed with grotesque generalizations, and no actual arguments – ran in the Washington Post tells you that they are either desperate or just beyond caring what appears under their auspices. Did Jon Meacham and Sally Quinn actually sign off on this as a serious piece of commentary? Their faces are grinning at the top of it.

I sometimes disagree with your Moore Award nominations, and I like Dan Savage, but this bit that you posted:

American opponents of reproductive freedom—people who seek to ban abortion—are trying to kill American women. The end.

Seems to merit a nomination.  I believe that pro-lifers are wrong (especially amongst those who oppose contraception distribution or promote abstinence-only education), but they're not trying to kill American women.
