The fundamentals keep trending in Obama’s direction:

The best book on the Clintons remains "Primary Colors," Joe Klein’s masterpiece. The movie wasn’t bad either. This clip shows the Clintons pondering whether to use some vile, underhand dirt on a political opponent. Except, of course, they don’t ponder. For them there is never any moral pondering. They do and say what is in their best interests, period – and they have no idea how to behave otherwise. It’s all excused by their unquestioned faith in their own benevolence. And the least ethical of the two – the most shameless, the least principled, the hollowest form of political life … is Hillary. Wait till the end and, in Emma Thompson’s brilliant performance, you get a glimpse of the sociopath beneath:

If I hear one more time about this Dream Ticket, I may get violent. The level of condescension and arrogance is just mind-boggling. He has 700,000 more votes, a 100-delegate lead and has won far more states, and they act as if they’d be doing the country a great service to pick him as their VP?

Do they honestly think they can steal Obama’s genuine following with this naked and pathetic ploy?  Combine this with Ed Rendell saying over and over that he’s not sure white Americans will vote for a black candidate — despite the fact that it has already happened in more than half the states — and it’s impossible not to view the Clintons as utterly manipulative racists.

If I am furious about this as a white guy, I can’t even IMAGINE the rage that must be felt by black Americans at the complete and utter lack of respect the Clinton’s have shown for Obama and his supporters of all races.

The feeling is increasingly mutual.

Sorry, but I feel for the guy (even if he is a Clinton super-delegate). If he broke the law, he broke the law and will have to face the consequences, I suppose. Still: as far as I’m concerned, this is between him and his family. And it’s really silly that prostitution is illegal.

This is pretty hilarious:

Howard Wolfson, Clinton’s chief spokesman, said during a conference call with reporters that Clinton would not pick a running mate who has not met the “national security threshold” — as Clinton’s military advisers and Wolfson put it on the call — but that it is possible Obama could meet that threshold by this summer’s Democratic convention.

So Obama could make up a "lifetime of experience" by cramming the names of foreign leaders by August. Heh.
