Atheist libertarian Penn Jillette defends using “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”:
I’m a “Happy Christmas” guy myself (it’s the English residue), but I try not to impose on anyone. I’m not averse to Happy Holidays. I just find it somewhat vague and lame.
